The processor is branded as slightly more recent design number but it and also the GPU are most likely the similar speed since the 3GS. The old Touch with the same Processor and GPU as the 3G was quicker. Apart from getting the clock speed turned up greater the Contact has less software to run because it?s not a telephone.
