Last week, I was invited to witness the unveiling of the View Traveller during Foton’s Big Show 2013 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City, Philippines. The program started at exactly 10:00 AM. Mr. Rommel Sytin gave the opening remarks, followed by Senator Binay, who gave a speech as a Guest Speaker, and Mr. Wu, who also gave a speech about Foton and their latest addition to their family of super awesome vans, the Foton View Traveller.
Subsequently at 10:55 AM, the Foton View Traveller was launched. There was a short dance presentation¬–that wowed the audience–by the NU PEP Squad. All the lights were turned off during their dance number because their main props were pin lights (or something that glows in the dark, because I’m really not sure if those were pin lights).
Some blurry pictures that I took using my old phone cam during the unveiling of the View Traveller (I forgot to bring my GF1 on the first day that why I’m forced to take terrible shots using my phone cam Hahaha!).
Right after their dance performance, the most awaited View Traveller was unveiled! There was a video about the engine, features, and everything about the View Traveller before it was physically unveiled to the guests.
After the View Traveller was unveiled, another entertaining dance number was held, not inside WTC, but outside. And not by humans, but by machines! At 11:15 AM, the dancing Wheel Loader started to dance. If you’re curious how a Wheel Loader dances, here’s a short video below (Sorry for the very bad quality of my phone cam video).
Below is the still photo of the Wheel Loader.
The day will never by complete if I never get my hands and experience driving the View Traveller myself. I wasn’t able to drive the View Traveller on the first day, but I was fortunate enough to drive the View Traveller on the second day. I went back to WTC the day after the Big Show and I was able to drive the View Traveller! Hurray! Here’s a very short video of me, driving a View Traveller. Hahaha!
Driving the View Traveller was fun. Riding it is very comfortable, and the driving experience was priceless. It’s like I’m just driving a bump car, even if it’s manual. I wasn’t able to drive a car for more than two years now, but driving a Foton car didn’t give me a hard time. It’s really a fun and pleasurable experience that I will never ever forget. I don’t know what to say about Foton in comparison with other car manufacturer brands, because I’m not a car critic nor a car reviewer myself, and I don’t know what are the pros and cons of buying a Foton car. But I do know that Foton cars rock–in my own sense of judgment! Yay!
Here are more pictures of the 2013 Big Show and exhibit (Day 1 and 2 post & pre-event pics):
Foton’s 2013 Big Show was a blast! Everything happened so fast and I’m glad and happy to experience driving a Foton vehicle, specially the View Traveller. It was such a wonderful experience.
